CRUCIBLE: Oriental Dance Festival in Burgos and Urban
On Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 May is celebrated the Festival of Oriental Dance and Urban in Burgos, under the name of CRUCIBLE. The Festival offered a show on Saturday and Master Classes and Oriental Bazaar on Saturday and Sunday.
Crucible met on stage (Cajacírculo Hall) to the Arab Dance Company Hanin (Nephthys Paloma, Leena Qadi, Cristina Gadea, Sonia Alejandre and Erika La Turka) with guest artists from New styles like Karetti Ahmed (France), Sandro Bernal (Mexico), Pablo Santamaria (Santander) and Elena de Miguel (Pamplona).
Work developed from research on new forms in the Dance East, without losing the essence and respect for the classic. Looking for new ways both movements and sounds, merging with other dances such as Hip Hop, Funky and Commercial Dance, obtained from the personal backgrounds of each dancer.
"Crucible: fusion of ideas, emotions. The strength, silence, intimacy, distance. Nine different forms of live dance, recovering the classical, fusing with current and imagining what is yet to come. "
The Master Classes lasted an hour and a half each, and Baladi oriental dances, Sable, Saidi with a cane and Wings of Isis, mergers, and ZíngarOriental Tribal and urban dances such as Hip Hop, Funky and Commercial Dance.
Paloma Nephthys Organization with the I Festival de Danza Oriental and Urban is in Burgos. The Festival will frame a performance and workshops with different teachers. The next 8 and 9 May.
